Congratulations to four ACG Pathways students who have received ACG Star scholarships towards their study in New Zealand.
Star scholarships support new international students to enrol in one of ACG Pathways’ three university foundation programmes in Auckland or Wellington and are valued at up to $5,000.
They are awarded on the basis of applicants’ community engagement, environmental work or leadership qualities, as well as high academic achievement.
Rykiel Romauldo Pereira from India and Maiza Rehan from Pakistan are undertaking the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation Studies Programme.
Rykiel volunteered at music and literature festivals while a student in the UAE, was a senior prefect at his high school, is heavily involved in music and does karate and other sports.
Maiza is passionate about technology and plans to undertake a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science in Victoria University.
Jihong Kim from Korea and Ngoc Nghiem from Vietnam are enrolled in the University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies.
Jihong’s favourite subjects are English and Maths and he plays a number of sports including basketball, soccer and skiing.
Ngoc is motivated by a life-long dream to work in education and plans to undertake a degree in Education Management at the University of Auckland.
