Digital Learning

Mobile technology is an integral learning tool at ACG Pathways: all students enrolled in the AUT Certificate in Foundation Studies receive a free iPad for the duration of their course, giving them full access to a complete set of course materials.

Mobile Technology

Mobile technology expands the classroom, making learning possible anywhere, anytime. By using myACG (Blackboard), students have access to all of their resources and can be learning at any time of the day or night. Having a mobile device with Apps and access to the internet opens a whole world of possibilities, and a host of new learning opportunities.

Many of our international students are good consumers of information, but struggle when it comes to production. They can read but struggle with writing; they can listen, but struggle with speaking. They can memorise, but struggle with processing, interpreting and reproducing in their own words. These skills are essential at university and need to be learned before students get there.

In foundation studies, our highly-experienced teachers train students to become responsible users of technology, teaching them how to find the best sources of knowledge, and what to do with that knowledge. We teach our students to become better producers, setting them up for optimum success at university and into the future.

ACG Pathways Campus – An Apple Distinguished School

Our Pathways campus is one of only 400 institutions around the world in 29 countries to be appointed as an Apple Distinguished School. The programme is by invitation only for schools that meet the current programme qualifications.

Being appointed as an Apple Distinguished School means that we are an innovative institution that demonstrates Apple’s vision for learning with technology. We have a clear idea about how technology can be used at our campus to support our students’ learning goals. Our school leaders use iPad and Mac products to inspire student creativity, collaboration and critical thinking. The programme ensures that our tutors are supported through leadership events and the chance to engage with experts – which results in an innovative environment in which students are excited and curious about learning.
